Old Bailey Large Outdoor Wall Lantern in Brass, 2 Lights
About this light
The large-format version of the Old Bailey lantern: a large outdoor wall lantern in aged brass, 37.5 cm high, holding two E27 bulbs side by side. Its size suits a main front door, a garage door or a large stretch of façade, where a small wall light would look lost.
Guarantees and services
Lacquered solid brass, aged finish
According to the British retailer, the lantern is handmade in solid brass, then lacquered to last better over time. The photo shows a burnished golden brass, a rectangular box fixed flat to the wall, glazed at the front and on the sides, beneath a rounded roof with a cornice and a square cap. The two lampholders, mounted on brass stems, remain visible behind the clear glass.
Two light sources for a well-lit entrance
Each E27 lampholder takes a bulb of up to 60 W; the two bulbs are to be purchased separately, and are dimmable if you have a dimmer. Two Edison-style filament bulbs reproduce the look in the photo. With its IP44 rating, the lantern can be mounted on a façade exposed to the weather or beneath a canopy: rain and splashes do not get inside.
A size designed for large doors
Allow for 26 cm wide, 15 cm projection and 3.6 kg: leave enough clearance if a shutter or door leaf folds back alongside. For a double door, fit one lantern on each side, with the top of the box roughly level with the top of the frame.
