A ring of cut crystal rods

The body of the light is a crown of clear, faceted crystal prisms, set tightly against one another on a chrome band. The underside is closed by a crystal plate cut into rays, so that light escapes downwards and sideways, breaking up into tiny rainbows. A short chrome stem links the drum to the ceiling plate.

Two E14 bulbs, 40 W maximum each

Two E14 lampholders sit inside the drum, for bulbs of 40 W maximum. 4 W filament LEDs in 2700 K enhance the sparkle of the crystal. The IP21 rating stops vertical drops, not splashes: although suggested for the bathroom, this ceiling light must be kept away from the shower and the bath, in the centre of the room or above the vanity unit. Class I luminaire, to be connected to earth.

22.5 cm in diameter, 11 cm high, 1.9 kg

With a diameter of 22.5 cm and a height of 11 cm, it fits under a low ceiling without getting in the way. The crystal gives it a weight of 1.9 kg: fix the plate with solid wall plugs, not just into plaster.
