Matt black and opal glass: a graphic duo

The black metal of the base stands out against the milky white of the glass, and the design stays simple: one cylinder, one capsule. This ceiling light pairs just as well with white tiles as with dark wood furniture or black taps. The photo shows it switched off; once lit, the whole glass glows.

Light softened by white glass

The opal glass diffuses the light source: no visible filament and no harsh reflections in the mirror. Screw in an E27 LED of 15 W at most (not supplied); a warm white 7 W is a good starting point. Thanks to its IP44 rating, the light tolerates the steam and water droplets of a bathroom, but it must not be placed inside the shower itself. It is Class I and must be connected to an earth.

A ceiling light that fits within 10 cm

The diameter is 10 cm, the height 26 cm and the weight 0.75 kg. It is fixed directly to the ceiling, with no rod or suspension, and its low weight needs no reinforcement. In a room larger than 4 m², consider fitting two rather than one.
