Bathroom bowl ceiling light 23 cm, opal glass and satin silver ring

Satin silver ring around white glass

The metal ring around the base of the glass has a satin silver finish: a matt, slightly grainy surface that gives off no reflections and copes well with marks from dried water. Above it, the opal glass cylinder keeps its flat base and straight sides; the whole fitting looks softer than the chrome version.

Light from below and through the sides

Two E27 bulbs, not included and limited to 60 W each, light the drum from the inside. The opal glass lets light through its entire surface, including the sides, which softens the shadow cast on the ceiling. The light is compatible with a dimmer; in that case, choose dimmable warm-coloured LEDs. Its IP44 rating protects it from splashes: install it in the bathroom outside the shower or bath zone.

23 cm in diameter, 9.5 cm high

Compact, it hangs 9.5 cm below the ceiling and weighs 0.94 kg; fixing with standard wall plugs is enough. On its own it lights a small room; in a larger bathroom, use two or move up to the larger size in the same series.
