The photo shows a 69 cm line of light just 4 cm wide. The opal glass diffuses the light without revealing the tube, and two cylindrical chrome caps close each end. The whole fitting projects only 8 cm from the wall.

A 14 W T5 fluorescent tube, included

The light source is a 14 W T5 tube, supplied with the light. The manufacturer describes a cool white light, well suited to make-up and shaving. The brightness is not dimmable. The IP44 rating protects the fitting from splashes: you can install it on either side of a mirror or above a basin, keeping the shower and bath at a distance. It must be connected to an earthed supply (Class I).

On the wall or ceiling, vertical or horizontal

The manufacturer provides for both wall and ceiling mounting. Vertically, two fittings framing a mirror light the face without shadows; position the centre of the tube at eye level, around 1.60 m. Horizontally, a single tube is enough above a mirror 60 to 80 cm wide. At 1.2 kg, standard wall plugs are suitable.
