A matt black cone closed by an opal dome
Seen from below, a matt black steel skirt widens as it descends from the ceiling; at the centre, a domed opal glass closes the light. A small black nut holds the glass in place and lets you remove it to change the bulbs. The same bow-tie profile is found on the Bowtie wall lights, so you can furnish the whole room.
Two E14 caps, bulbs to be supplied
The ceiling light takes two E14 bulbs of 40 W maximum, not supplied. Choose dimmable E14 LEDs of 4 to 6 W in 2700 K or 3000 K: the opal glass blends the two sources into an even light, and the light is compatible with a dimmer. IP44 rated, it withstands the steam and splashes of a bathroom; even so, avoid positioning it directly above the shower. Earth connection required (Class I).
Compact format, 10.2 cm below the ceiling
At 25.4 cm in diameter and 10.2 cm high, the ceiling light is unobtrusive in a low-ceilinged room. It weighs 2.2 kg: fix the mounting plate with plugs suited to your ceiling. In the centre of an average-sized bathroom, complement it with a wall light by the mirror to light the face without shadows.
