Chrome ring on a black body
Seen from below, the light shows a disc of frosted glass surrounded by a chrome ring, held a few millimetres away from the black drum by small brackets. The chrome reflects the light from the glass and visually brightens the shape; the matt black body remains the main feature. No visible screws on the visible face.
Two E14 bulbs, dimmer compatible
The two E14 lampholders take bulbs of up to 60 W each, to be supplied by you. The ceiling light is dimmer compatible: with dimmable bulbs, a single control lets you go from full brightness to a night light. Its IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathrooms and able to withstand splashes from a washbasin; keep it out of the shower zone and away from the bath. Class II, double insulation.
Dimensions and fixing
It measures 30 cm in diameter and 9.5 cm in height and weighs 1.54 kg, a size that suits a shower room of a few square metres or the space above a narrow vanity unit. It is fixed to the ceiling on a mounting plate; allow for suitable wall plugs if the surface is plasterboard.
