About this light

This recessed bathroom spotlight is simply a round brushed steel trim, 8.6 cm in diameter, which holds a GU10 bulb. Once fitted, only the ring sits flush with the ceiling. It provides general lighting for a bathroom or highlights a specific spot, such as the vanity unit, and its IP44 rating makes it suitable for damp rooms. A discreet piece to be multiplied according to the size of the room.

Description

A round brushed steel trim

In the photo, a flat ring with a brushed finish surrounds the bulb, whose faceted reflector remains visible. Nothing protrudes: the body of the spotlight disappears into the false ceiling. A central ring, specified by the manufacturer, holds the bulb in place and lets you change it without removing the spotlight.

A GU10 source for a directed beam

The spotlight takes a GU10 cap bulb of up to 35 W. With a GU10 LED, the beam can be wide or narrow depending on the bulb chosen, enough to light a vanity unit or wash a tiled wall. Protected against splashes by its IP44 rating, it is suitable for a bathroom ceiling, outside the zone directly above the bath or shower tray. Class II product.

Installation and spacing

The trim is 8.6 cm in diameter and the whole unit takes up only 4 cm of height in the ceiling void, and weighs 0.04 kg. Check the cut-out diameter before sawing the board. For an average bathroom, space the spotlights about one metre apart and place one close to the mirror.
