Binstead wall light, pleated white glass and polished chrome, 16.5 cm

Pleated white glass and chrome, compact size

The glass is white, translucent and pleated along its full height: the flutes catch the light and create light and dark streaks once the wall light is switched on. The horizontal arm and the round backplate are in polished chrome. The Binstead range is also available as a double wall light and a matching ceiling light.

What it lights

A G9 bulb of up to 40 W, included, sits inside the glass, which is open at the top. The pleating gives a soft light with no dazzling point, which bounces off the wall and ceiling. The IP44 rating protects it from splashes: it is suitable above a basin or handbasin, outside shower and bath zones. Class I protection, earth connection required.

Small dimensions, easy installation

16.5 cm high, 11 cm wide and projecting 13.5 cm, weighing 1.1 kg: the wall light fits on a narrow section of wall and does not get in the way. It can be fitted above a small mirror, or as a pair on either side of a mirror about fifty centimetres wide. Mount it high enough that the bulb cannot be seen over the top of the glass.
