About this light

This 2-light bathroom wall light in chrome-plated brass and opal glass, the Eliot2, is mounted horizontally: two white barrel-shaped diffusers lie on either side of a round backplate, spanning 47 cm. The ends of the glass are closed with chrome discs. Two 3 W G9 bulbs are included. It is placed above a mirror to light the face from above.

Description

Two glass shades lying on a round backplate

The photo shows a symmetrical light bar: in the centre, a round backplate in polished chrome-plated brass from which a short arm extends; on either side, two white opal glass shades, swollen in the middle and finished with chrome discs. The whole fitting is only 9.5 cm high, giving a very slim horizontal line.

Lighting the mirror from above

The two 3 W G9 bulbs, supplied, are set within the white glass: the light falls in a soft sheet over the face and the basin area, with no bright spot in the mirror. A dimmer can be used to lower the intensity. The IP44 rating protects the light from splashes, for installation above the mirror or washbasin in the bathroom, away from the shower. Class I, with earth.

Width and mounting height

At 47 cm wide, 9.5 cm high and projecting 13 cm, this wall light suits a mirror of approximately 50 to 70 cm wide. Fix it centred above the mirror, just above its upper edge.
