Opal glass, chrome and mirror plate
The diffuser is an opal glass tube closed at the top, which lights all the way around and towards the ceiling. It is held by a ring and a cylindrical chrome-plated metal base. The wall plate is a rectangular mirror glass plate, taller than the tube: it echoes the neighbouring mirror and reflects the light, which increases the perceived brightness.
An E14 bulb up to 40 W, approved for bathrooms
The wall light takes an E14 cap bulb of 40 W maximum. A 4 to 6 W E14 LED in 2700 K warm white gives pleasant grooming light without heating the glass. Thanks to its IP44 rating, it withstands the humidity and splashes of a washbasin; however, keep it out of the shower and away from the area directly above the bath. Class I, must be earthed.
23 cm high, 11 cm projection
Allow 23 cm in height, 9 cm in width and 11 cm projection from the wall, for 0.56 kg. Fit one wall light on each side of the mirror, with the centre of the tube about 1.60 m from the floor and the two wall lights at least 60 cm apart: the face is lit from both sides, with no cast shadow.
