Frosted glass torch on a chrome backplate
The wall backplate is a chrome disc, and the arm is a tube in the same polished chrome, bent to project at an angle from the wall. At the end, a translucent white frosted glass cylinder completely conceals the light source. When lit, the whole tube glows with an even halo; when off, the wall light keeps a slim, shiny profile.
An 18 W G9, subdued light, IP44
The G9 lampholder takes an 18 W bulb, supplied in the box. The frosted glass softens the light: it is a comfort light, to be paired with a ceiling light for general lighting. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for the bathroom, around the basin and mirror, outside the area where shower water can reach it. Class I connection.
A 25.5 cm projection to plan for
The wall light measures 15.2 cm high and 10 cm wide at the backplate, but the angled arm brings it out to 25.5 cm from the wall: check that a cupboard door or the door of a bathroom cabinet will not knock against it. It weighs only 0.483 kg. Place one on each side of the mirror, with the tube pointing upwards, at eye level.
