A frosted glass cone, a chrome foot
The glass is an inverted truncated cone, closed at the top, in frosted white glass that diffuses light without revealing the bulb. It rests on a shiny chrome sleeve, the only visible metal element, itself screwed onto a flat rectangular plate. In the photo, this plate is white, which makes the chrome of the lampholder stand out.
A 40 W E14 behind the glass
The E14 lampholder accepts 40 W at most; the bulb is not in the box, so choose an E14 LED, opaque or clear, as the frosted glass hides it anyway. One wall light on each side of the mirror gives shadow-free light on the face. Class I, must be connected to earth. IP44: the wall light tolerates splashes from a basin and ambient humidity, but must not be installed in the shower or above the bath.
23 cm backplate, 9 cm projection
With its 23 cm long backplate and 9 cm projection, the wall light is installed as a pair around a mirror, with the centre of the glass roughly at eye level. It weighs 0.6 kg: two standard wall plugs are enough. It is also available in black, as a two-light version and as a three-light ceiling light.
