Zen bathroom wall light, chrome with clear glass shade, 26.5 cm

Glass shade and chrome base

Unlike the ceiling light in the same range, the glass of the wall light points upwards: a clear shade with a rounded top, sitting on a chrome cup that houses the lampholder. A short arm connects the whole to a round wall plate, also in chrome. Everything is on show, including the filament bulb in the photo, which is not supplied with the light.

Which bulb, and where to install it

The E27 lampholder is limited to 15 W: choose a 4 to 6 W filament LED in warm white, which gives enough light for a basin without dazzling in the mirror. Its IP44 rating protects it from splashes; you can install it in a bathroom, observing a distance from the shower and bath. Class I, earth connection required.

Wall dimensions

The wall light measures 26.5 cm high and 10 cm wide, and projects 17 cm from the wall; it weighs 0.8 kg. To frame a mirror, fit one on each side, with the backplate at roughly eye level, so that the glass rises slightly above the top of the mirror without lighting it from the front.
