Brushed brass from the base to the glass ring
The brushed brass finish is matt and lightly streaked. It covers the rectangular backplate, the short arm, the rod that extends well below the glass and the notched ring of the diffuser. The transparent glass, shaped like an open tulip, is the only clear part of the light.
Filament bulb recommended, E27 and 40 W maximum
Nothing hides the bulb: choose an E27 LED with a gold filament, which visually extends the brass, while staying under the 40 W allowed by the lampholder. The bulb is not included in the box; with a dimmable LED, a dimmer is suitable. As a Class I light, it requires a supply with an earth conductor. Its IP44 rating protects it from splashes: you can install it near a washbasin or facing a bath, but not within the shower zone.
A tall, shallow silhouette
The dimensions are those of the chrome version: 56.1 cm high, 12.7 cm wide, 18.9 cm projection; weight 1.75 kg. As the rod extends far below the glass, fix the backplate fairly high, at around 1.70 m, so that the bottom of the rod does not get in the way of a piece of furniture or a radiator.
