Three opal shades and crystal finials

The Blythe reads as a classic mirror light: an oval backplate in the centre, a horizontal polished nickel bar, and three short arms that drop down to opal glass shades with a scalloped edge. What sets it apart are the faceted crystal finials: one at each end of the bar and one above each lampholder.

960 lm from three integrated LEDs

Each shade houses an integrated 3.5 W LED, giving 960 lm in total at 3000 K, a warm white that flatters the complexion. The light sources come fitted, so there is no bulb to change. Class I, must be earthed. With its IP44 rating, the light withstands the steam and splashes of a washbasin; keep it out of the shower zone.

A 63.2 cm bar for a wide mirror

The bar is 63.2 cm long, 22.3 cm high and projects 13.8 cm. It makes the most sense above a mirror at least 70 cm wide, fixed at 1.90 or 2 m from the floor so that the shades stay above head height. Its 3.07 kg calls for a secure fixing, using toggle fixings in a hollow partition wall.
