Heritage brass and candlestick stem
Heritage brass is a patinated gilt finish, less yellow than polished brass, which sits well with wood and white tiles. The stem rises from the wall plate to the globe and comes back down to a point beneath the fixing. The clear glass globe with bubbles, banded with a metal ring, measures 15.6 cm in diameter. The wall light projects 19 cm from the wall.
An E14 lampholder for a bulb of your choice
The lamp works with an E14 bulb of 40 W maximum, not included in the packaging. A 4 to 6 W LED candle bulb is more than enough for bathroom lighting; in a dimmable version, it can also be controlled with a dimmer, which is compatible with this model. With IP44 protection, it withstands humidity and splashes near a washbasin; as a Class I fitting, it must be connected to the earth wire. Just avoid fitting it above the bath or inside the shower cubicle.
Fit as a pair around the mirror
Its 40.3 cm height is visible from a distance: install it as a pair on either side of the mirror, with the globe at face height, for shadow-free lighting beneath the chin. On a large mirror, it can also be repeated in a series.
