Opal sphere, black structure
The 15.6 cm opal glass globe is held by a matt black steel ring that divides it into two hemispheres. The vertical stem passes through the round backplate and continues below it, like the handle of a torch. The matt black absorbs reflections, while the white glass handles the light. Projection from the wall: 19 cm.
Enveloping light for the mirror
The opal glass diffuses the light of the E14 bulb (40 W maximum) in all directions without dazzling, which suits lighting for the face. The bulb must be bought separately; a standard LED in clear or frosted glass will do, since it is not visible. On a dimmer, the brightness can be adjusted provided you choose a dimmable LED. IP44 rating: it is suitable for the bathroom, including beside the basin, except in the area where water is splashed directly. Class I, must be earthed.
Dimensions and mounting height
Allow 40.3 cm in height and 1.02 kg per wall light. Fix the backplate so that the globe sits at eye level; when fitting a pair around a mirror, leave a few centimetres between the globe and the frame so that the glass touches nothing.
