Bathroom wall light with 2 bubble glass globes and black steel: two clear spheres hang from a black horizontal bar, each encircled by a ring and crossed by its own rod. The bubbles trapped in the glass make the light of the two E14 bulbs (not included) sparkle. At 38.1 cm wide, this Hollis is fitted above a single mirror.

Description

Two spheres hanging from a bar

The structure is made of black steel: an oval backplate, a horizontal bar and two short rods that dip into the globes. Each clear glass globe, speckled with bubbles, is held by a ring, and the bulbs can be glimpsed through the glass. The whole fitting drops 23 cm, projects 19.3 cm and weighs 1.7 kg.

Two visible E14 bulbs

The two E14 lampholders each accept 40 W. No bulbs are supplied: flame-shaped filament LEDs will give the best result behind clear glass, in a dimmable version if you fit a dimmer, which is compatible with this wall light. The model is IP44 and Class I; it withstands ambient humidity and splashes from a washbasin, provided it is kept away from the shower and is not fitted above the bath.

Above the mirror

Its 38.1 cm width suits a mirror of 50 to 60 cm: centre the wall light above it, globes facing downwards, about fifteen centimetres from the top edge. A single cable outlet, behind the oval backplate, powers both lampholders.
