About this light

2-light bathroom wall light in heritage brass: the double Hollis lines up two brass-ringed glass globes under a horizontal bar, all mounted on an oval backplate. The aged gold finish catches the light of the two E14 bulbs (not included) beautifully. At 38.1 cm wide and 23 cm high, it lights a vanity mirror from above.

Description

Gold-tone bar and twin globes

The heritage brass finish covers the backplate, the bar and the two rings that hold the globes. The clear glass spheres with bubbles hang beneath the bar, lampholder at the top, and project 19.3 cm. The construction is steel; the brass is a surface finish. The whole stays visually light thanks to the slim rods.

Two-point mirror lighting

Two E14 bulbs of 40 W maximum, to be bought separately, sit on either side of the centre line. Two spaced light sources illuminate the face more evenly than a single central point. With dimmable LED bulbs, a dimmer lets you adjust the intensity. The IP44 rating allows installation in a bathroom above a basin; keep it out of the shower and bath zones. Class I: make sure to connect the earth conductor.

Dimensions and placement

38.1 cm bar, total height of 23 cm. Centre it above the mirror, with the backplate at roughly 1.90 m, so the globes then hang above the frame. It also works as a bedhead light if the bathroom is not its destination.
