Hollis 3-Light Bathroom Wall Light in Heritage Brass, 60.6 cm Bar

A bar of three aged brass globes

The oval backplate in the centre supports the bar, from which three rods drop down. Each globe, in clear glass dotted with tiny bubbles, is held in a gold ring. Heritage brass is a warm, matt finish, without the mirror shine of polished brass, and it ages well in a damp room. Height 23 cm, projection 19.3 cm.

Three E14 bulbs above the vanity unit

The three E14 lampholders each take a bulb of up to 40 W; the choice is yours, as they are not supplied. Spreading the light across three points avoids shadows on a wide mirror, and brightness can be controlled with a dimmer if the bulbs are dimmable. IP44 rating: the bathroom is its natural home, except for the shower and the area directly above the bath. Class I, earth connection required.

Centring and height

Allow for a mirror at least as wide as the 60.6 cm of the wall light. Fix the backplate above the frame, high enough so the globes do not hide the reflection, low enough so the light falls on the face and not on the ceiling. The whole fitting weighs 2.5 kg.
