All the steel in the structure is finished in heritage brass: backplate, bar, stems and rings. The opal glass globes hang at equal distances, with the central one in line with the backplate. The projection of 19.3 cm keeps the globes well clear of the wall, which also lights the wall behind.

Three E14 bulbs required

Three E14 lampholders, 40 W maximum per light point, bulbs not included. Three spaced sources give even grooming light, with no strong shadow on one side of the face, and a dimmer can adjust the intensity when used with dimmable bulbs. The light is IP44 and Class I: it tolerates the damp air and splashes of a vanity top, it must be connected to an earthed supply, and it should be kept away from the shower.

Width and mounting height

Its 60.6 cm width suits a position above a double basin or a panoramic mirror. Mount the backplate above the mirror frame, with the globes facing down; for a single basin, the two-globe Hollis is better proportioned. At 2.5 kg, the backplate needs a secure fixing.
