About this light

Short black 45 cm garden bollard light whose cast aluminium head ends in a rounded dome. Beneath the dome, a grille of fine horizontal slats protects a polycarbonate diffuser. At 2.3 kg, it is the heaviest of the Bollards at this height: it suits the foot of a staircase or the edge of a terrace.

Description

Dome, grille and smooth column

The top of the bollard forms a small openwork cylinder: closely spaced horizontal bars surround the diffuser, and a half-sphere cap closes it off. The column, slightly narrower than the head, sits on a flat disc. The whole structure is cast aluminium with a black finish.

E27 lampholder and IP44 rating

The bollard takes an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, supplied separately. For marking a path, a low-power LED is enough; choose warm white, around 2700 K, for a soft light between the bars. Protected against water splashes by its IP44 rating, it can be installed in the open, in a flower bed or at the edge of a lawn. Class I: connection with an earth wire.

At knee height

At 45 cm, it places the light source at knee height: the light falls on steps or paving slabs without shining into your eyes. It is 18 cm wide. Fix the base disc to a hard, flat surface, such as a paving slab or masonry plinth, as its weight does not remove the need for anchoring.
