About this light

This white glass table lamp is shaped like a skittle: a globe set on a conical base, all in blown glass with a satin finish. When lit, it becomes one continuous glowing form, ideal for a console, a chest of drawers or a bedside table. It measures 39 cm high by 22 cm in diameter and takes an E27 bulb, not included.

Description

A skittle in white blown glass

The Birillo takes its name from the skittle, whose silhouette it echoes. The white glass, blown then acid-treated, has a milky, matt appearance that hides the bulb. The globe and the cone form a single volume, with no lampshade: the whole lamp diffuses the light.

Diffused light for indoors

The E27 lampholder takes a bulb bought separately; the stated maximum power per bulb is 60 W. A frosted white warm 2700 K LED gives an even glow within the glass, better suited to accent lighting than to reading. Its IP20 rating limits it to dry rooms: living room, bedroom, hallway. Class II, double insulation, no earth wire.

Dimensions and weight

At 39 cm high and 22 cm in diameter, it fits on a bedside table or sideboard without overhanging. Its 2.31 kg of glass makes it stable; place it on a flat surface, away from edges, to avoid knocks.
