A lantern set on a fluted post

The post widens in flutes towards a square base, then carries a lantern with sloping sides. At the top, a flame-shaped finial is framed by leaves curling out at the corners. The whole piece is made of cast aluminium with an aged bronze patina that, according to the retailer, is worked by hand, and the panes are textured glass tinted amber.

Filtered light, adjustable intensity

The E27 lampholder accepts up to 60 W; the bulb is not included. This model is compatible with a dimmer, provided a dimmable bulb is fitted. Its IP44 rating protects it from rain: it can stay outdoors all year round, on an uncovered low wall. A earthed supply line is required (Class I).

Size and mounting on a pillar

30 cm in diameter, 68 cm tall and weighing 3.15 kg: its size suits a gate pillar at least this wide, where it marks the entrance to the property. Have the power supply, whether buried or recessed into the masonry, installed by an electrician.
