A metre of grey aluminium
Standing 100 cm tall with a diameter of 12 cm, this Kurt has the slender silhouette of a small post. The aluminium body stays grey from base to top. At the head, the clear plastic sleeve reveals a series of horizontal louvres, topped by a rounded dome that acts as a rain hat.
E27 bulb and IP44 protection
It works with an E27 cap bulb, with a stated power of 20 W. A 2700 K LED gives the golden light seen in the photo. The light radiates all the way around the head, filtered by the slats. Rated IP44, the bollard withstands showers and splashes: it belongs in the garden, in front of the entrance or on a terrace, out of reach of hose jets.
Anchoring a tall bollard
Weighing 3.2 kg and standing one metre tall, it must be firmly anchored: screw the base plate onto a concrete block rather than onto a paving slab that is simply laid down. As a Class I product, it is connected with an earth conductor, with the cable running through buried conduit. For a driveway, two bollards on either side of the access are often enough to mark the entrance.
