A free-standing miner's lamp

The aluminium frame forms a pointed arch topped with an arched handle. At the centre, a clear glass chimney houses the lampholder; two metal wires cross in front of it, as on old mining lamps. The circular base, wider than the body, gives a stable footing. Handmade, the bollard light is painted in antique bronze, and the manufacturer states it comes with an anti-corrosion guarantee.

A marker light for paths

A single E27 bulb, 60 W maximum, not included: to mark a path, a low-power LED is enough and does not dazzle. Connected to a dimmer with a dimmable LED, it can also be left on as a night light. Rated IP44, the bollard withstands showers and splashes, so it can stay on an uncovered terrace or along the edge of a garden.

Dimensions and fixing

37 cm high, 20 cm wide, 13.1 cm deep and 1.89 kg: its dimensions suit the cap of a gatepost or the top of a boundary wall. Allow for the cable to enter from underneath and for an earth connection, as the fitting is Class I.
