A lantern on a short stand
The lantern rests on a short cylindrical shaft, flared at the base. Its four panes of dense clear glass, dotted with bubbles, are held by riveted uprights under a four-sided roof, topped with a moulded ring. Steel in a Regency Bronze finish, a dark brown that leans towards copper depending on the light.
Three candles and light all around
Three E14 lampholders on candle holders, 60 W maximum for each; please allow for the bulbs, as they are not supplied with the bollard light. It can be controlled by a dimmer, with dimmable bulbs. As the glass surrounds the entire light source, the light travels in all directions: it marks a gate or the start of a path rather than lighting the ground far ahead. With an IP44 rating, it can stay outdoors in the rain as well as under splashes from sprinklers.
Installation on a pillar or low wall
It measures 27.9 cm in diameter: on a gate pillar, choose a cap at least as wide for a balanced look, with a flat seat and a passage for the cable. It weighs 5.13 kg. The connection must include an earth (Class I) and, outdoors, a cable protected inside a sheath.
