This low garden bollard light with a frosted lantern is 45 cm tall: a short square black pillar topped by a head with four frosted polycarbonate sides. Its compact size suits flower borders, steps or a low wall. The light, softened by the frosting, stays gentle; the E27 bulb is to be added.

Description

Small pillar, big head

At 45 cm high and 22.5 cm wide, the lantern makes up a large part of the silhouette. Its black cast aluminium frame surrounds four frosted polycarbonate panes, beneath a gently sloping pyramid-shaped cap. The square-section base has the same black finish.

Choosing the bulb and dimming

No light source is supplied: allow for an E27 bulb of 40 W maximum, preferably a warm white LED to keep energy consumption down. The model is stated as dimmer compatible, which requires a dimmable bulb. IP44: the lantern withstands rain and the damp of a pond edge, as long as it is not sprayed directly.

Low-level lighting around the house

A 45 cm bollard light mainly illuminates the ground nearby: use several along a path, or highlight a flight of steps with one lantern at the top and one at the bottom. Weighing 3 kg, it is fixed onto a hard base; the electrical supply runs through buried conduit and must be connected by an electrician, with an earth connection (Class I).
