Morris pier-mount lantern in patinated copper and iridescent glass, 41.9 cm
About this light
This outdoor pier-mount lantern draws on the Mission style of the American Southwest: a pagoda roof topped with a ring, stylised branches running across four glass panels, and a short stem designed to sit on a low wall or gatepost. The deliberately aged patinated copper finish frames iridescent bubble glass that softens the light. It measures 41.9 cm high by 30.5 cm wide.
Guarantees and services
Pagoda roof and cut-out branches in patinated copper
The aluminium structure has a patinated copper finish, worked to look weathered by time. The overhanging four-sided roof ends in a ring. On each side, a network of cut-out branches stands out in front of the glass. This bubble glass, iridescent and etched on its inner face, conceals the bulb.
An E27 bulb for the entrance or steps
The E27 bulb is not included; the maximum power is 60 W. The light fitting is dimmable: to take advantage of this, choose a dimmable E27 LED in 2700 K to keep a warm light on the copper. Rated IP44, the lantern withstands rain and can be placed on top of a gate pier, on a terrace wall or on each side of a flight of steps. Class I: an earth connection is mandatory.
Mounting on a pier or low wall
At 30.5 cm wide and 41.9 cm high, it needs a support at least as wide; a pier with a 35 to 40 cm cross-section leaves it a neat ledge. It weighs 4.84 kg: fix the base to sound masonry and plan for the cable to enter through the centre of the pier.
