Description

Baluster base and clear globe

The stepped plinth carries a flared stem, then an openwork black cup that holds the globe. The base is black powder-coated aluminium; the clear polycarbonate globe shows off the bulb. The silhouette recalls park lanterns and suits wrought-iron gates or masonry pillars.

Bulb and protection rating

It takes an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, not included. In a clear globe, a globe-shaped LED bulb limits glare. IP54 protection: the lantern can stay outdoors in all weathers, dust included. As a Class II product, it is connected without an earth conductor. On a circuit fitted with a dimmer, choose a dimmable bulb.

Where to place it

At 25 cm wide, it fits on most pillar caps; it weighs 1.53 kg. Plan for the cable to come out at the centre of the support before fixing the base, and install one on each pillar to frame a gate.
