Black base and copper lantern

The foot, in black powder-coated aluminium according to Netlighting, widens into a square base. Above it, a cage of scroll arms holds the lantern: four flared polycarbonate panels, a roof with cut-out edges, a dome and a finial. The hand-worked copper gradually loses its shine and develops a patina.

An E27 light source at the heart of the lantern

The lampholder accepts an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, which is not included; a dimmable version allows the use of a dimmer. A clear bulb shows the filament behind the panels; a frosted bulb gives a more diffused light. The IP44 rating protects it from rain outdoors, on an unsheltered pillar. Class II.

Pillar mounting: 72 cm, 4.01 kg

The top of the pillar must be flat and wide enough for the base, with a supply cable sheath emerging at the centre. For a gate, place a lantern on each of the two pillars. The weight of 4.01 kg calls for rods or plugs firmly anchored in the masonry.
