Square base, turned stem, pointed lantern

The base is a square plate with several steps, from which rises a flared, baluster-shaped stem. The lantern above has six slightly tinted polycarbonate panes and a faceted roof ending in a spire. The whole fitting is made of die-cast aluminium in a black finish.

An E27 lampholder and an IP54 rating

It takes an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, sold separately. Its IP54 rating protects it from dust and water splashed from all directions: it can be left uncovered on a pillar or low wall, in rain or wind. However, it is not designed to withstand a powerful jet: avoid using a pressure washer. Class II, double insulation.

Choosing the right support

Allow 32 cm for the overall width; a pillar or low wall at least this wide gives a balanced look. It weighs 3.81 kg: secure the base with screws or rods set into the masonry, and plan the cable entry into the pillar before installation. A lantern on each gate pillar marks the entrance to the property.
