About this light

Lantern-style garden bollard light: a black hexagonal lantern with a pointed roof, mounted on a slim post and a square base. At 126 cm tall, it sits between a low bollard and a floor lamp, and lights a path, a garden entrance or the edge of a terrace. It takes an E27 bulb, which must be bought separately.

Description

A miniature street lantern

The post is a smooth tube that widens slightly at the foot, on a moulded square base. At the top sits the Valencia lantern, with six glazed sides in lightly tinted polycarbonate beneath a pitched roof finished with a spire. Post, lantern and base are made of black lacquered die-cast aluminium.

Lighting a path with E27

E27 lampholder, 60 W maximum, bulb to be bought separately. With LED, a modest wattage is enough to mark out a path; a 2700 K colour temperature keeps the lantern's traditional character. The IP54 rating protects it against dust and splashing water from all directions: rain, automatic watering, ground splashback. Class II.

Positioning and ground fixing

The lantern is 25 cm wide and the whole unit weighs 3.07 kg. Fix the base to a concrete plinth or a slab, with a cable buried in conduit. For a path, space the bollards a few metres apart and place them on one side only or staggered, depending on the width of the walkway.
