A façade lantern in hammered metal
Made of cast aluminium, the rectangular wall plate and the pyramid roof show a hammered surface, patinated in aged black with lighter highlights on the raised areas. Four panes of bubble glass enclose the cage: the tiny air inclusions blur the view of the bulb and soften the light. A round ring tops the roof, joined to the wall by a short bracket.
Light and rain resistance
The E27 lampholder takes a bulb of up to 60 W, not supplied. Choose a 2700 K filament LED: it keeps the look of a flame behind the glass and uses little energy for an entrance light switched on every evening. It can be used with a dimmer, with a dimmable LED. The IP44 rating protects the lantern from rain; it is designed for façade mounting, preferably under an overhanging roof or a canopy. As it is Class I, use a cable with an earth wire.
Size and installation
With a projection of 17.7 cm, this small model stays discreet beside a standard door or a letterbox. It weighs 2.32 kg. Plan to fit it at about 1.70 to 1.80 m above the ground, one on each side of the entrance if you install two.
