About this light

At 97 cm tall, this grey garden bollard light is the tall version of the Bluebel range. A slim round post carries a teardrop-shaped lantern, topped with the range's cut-out cap. At this height, the light carries further than with a low bollard: it illuminates a path, a garage entrance or the surround of a swimming pool.

Description

Slender post and lantern head

The cylindrical grey cast aluminium shaft rises from a ground disc up to the lantern, whose clear diffuser reveals the bulb. The scalloped cap closes the top. The footprint is limited to 17.5 cm per side, so it can be planted at the edge of a flower bed without encroaching on the path.

Choice of light source, dimming possible

A 10 W E27 bulb sits beneath the cap. With a dimmable LED, you can lower the brightness, as the bollard light is stated to be compatible with a dimmer. A clear filament LED highlights the transparent diffuser. The IP44 rating protects it from splashes and rain.

Anchoring and spacing

It weighs 0.95 kg for a height of 97 cm: allow for a stable anchor in a concrete block or on a slab, with the cable buried in a duct. Along a path, space the bollards about 4 to 6 metres apart, set slightly back from the edge so they do not get in the way of the lawnmower.
