Straight post and slatted head
A round black-finish stainless steel post rises from a circular base plate set on the ground. At the top, a flat cap and several horizontal rings form slats that direct some of the light towards the ground. In the centre, clear glass surrounds the bulb. A small infrared sensor is housed on the side of the head.
Motion detection and E27 bulb
The motion sensor (PIR) switches the light on when someone approaches, which is practical for a path or a garden gate. The E27 lampholder accepts a bulb of up to 60 W, to be purchased separately. Choose a warm white LED, around 2700 or 3000 K, for a welcoming light. Rated IP44, the Helsingor is rain-resistant.
Height, installation and connection
At 100 cm high and 21.8 cm in diameter, the bollard light illuminates the ground along a path well. It weighs 2.98 kg: plan for a concrete block or slab to screw the base plate to. Being Class I, the power supply must include an earth and run through a suitable buried cable; please use an electrician. Along a path, space the bollards roughly 3 to 4 m apart.
