A stainless steel stem topped with a slatted cap
The Malmo is made of stainless steel (304 stainless steel according to the British retailer), left in a silver finish. A slim, straight tube rises from a round base plate up to the head. The head stacks a conical cap, three circular slats and a transparent cylinder around the bulb. The look recalls Scandinavian bollards, without any ornament.
An E27 bulb and an IP44 rating for the garden
The E27 lampholder accepts a bulb of up to 60 W, not supplied with the floor lamp. A low-power warm white LED, 2700 K for example, is enough to light a walkway. Rated IP44, it withstands rain and can be installed in the open, at the edge of a lawn or at the foot of outdoor steps.
Dimensions and ground fixing
At 100 cm high with a diameter of 27.5 cm, it stays at hip height and does not block the view of the garden. It weighs 4 kg. Its round base plate needs a hard surface: allow for a small concrete footing or a slab, and a buried cable conduit supply installed by an electrician. Along a path, allow roughly one lamp every four to five metres.
