Two heads on a curved crossbar

At the top of the post, a double-scroll crossbar opens out on either side of a central finial and supports two square lanterns. Each has a pointed roof, a spire and panes of rippled clear glass, five pieces per side leaded together by hand according to the retailer. The shaft, punctuated by rings, widens at the bottom into a more substantial faceted base. Black patinated cast aluminium, with silver highlights on the raised details.

Two E27 bulbs

Each lantern has its own E27 lampholder for a bulb of up to 60 W. The two bulbs are not included in the package; if you choose dimmable ones, you can lower the lighting with a dimmer. Rated IP44, the floor lamp can stay outdoors in the rain; it only fears direct jets of water.

Span and anchoring

The lanterns, within a diameter of 57 cm, remain well above head height. The floor lamp weighs 9.09 kg: anchor it on a concrete base, with the power cable run through a buried duct. Place it in the centre of the area to be lit rather than against a wall. Class I, must be earthed.
