About this light

The short version of the Klampenborg, this black outdoor pillar lamp measures 31.8 cm. Its wide conical shade tops a clear glass cylinder set on a short 304 stainless steel stem. It mounts on a pillar, a low terrace wall or a wide step and directs its light downwards onto the ground around it.

Description

A wide shade on a short stem

The 27.5 cm diameter shade is almost as wide as the lamp is tall, giving it a sturdy, squat look. The clear glass, held between two black rings, shows off the bulb. The round base has four visible screws.

E27 bulb and rain

You will need an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, sold separately; a globe or filament LED stays discreet under the shade, and a dimmable version lets you lower the light with a dimmer. With its IP44 rating, the lamp withstands driving rain on an exposed wall or a gatepost.

On a pillar or low wall

It weighs 1.35 kg and screws flat onto a masonry surface, with the cable entering from underneath. Leave a clearance of at least the width of the shade around it. Earth connection required (Class I).
