White outdoor up down wall light Rex-2, solid front, E27

A closed front with curved edges

Of the three Rex models, the Rex-2 is the one with an entirely closed front. The white cover, with curved top and bottom edges, conceals the diffuser; only two side screws break up the surface. It is made of aluminium, metal and plastic.

Indirect light up and down

An E27 bulb of 60 W maximum, not included, sits behind the cover. The light escapes through the upper and lower openings and grazes the wall: the lighting is softer than with a visible diffuser, and the bulb stays out of sight of a visitor approaching the wall light head-on. The IP54 rating makes it suitable for outdoor use, on a façade exposed to showers as well as under a canopy, and also protects it from dust. A 2700 K LED gives a light close to that of a filament bulb.

Size and installation

It measures 25 cm wide by 12 cm high and projects 13 cm from the wall. Leave space above and below to make the most of both beams: avoid fitting it right under an overhanging roof or just above a step.
