Scrolls, turned finial and pointed arm
The clear glass cylinder is encircled by black cast aluminium scrollwork, between an openwork base and a conical cap ending in a finial. The lantern rests on a straight arm that continues beneath it in a tapered point, all fixed to a backplate with cut-out edges. It recalls the silhouette of English street lanterns, in miniature.
E27 lampholder and IP23 protection
A single E27 bulb, 60 W maximum, sold separately; if dimmable, it can be adjusted with a dimmer. An LED with a visible filament keeps the look of an old-fashioned lantern while heating the glass very little. The IP23 rating covers slanting rain, up to 60°, but not jets of water: a spot under a roof overhang, an awning or in a porch recess suits it well. Class I, with earth connection.
42 cm tall with a 21.5 cm projection
It is 15 cm wide, projects 21.5 cm from the wall and weighs 1.44 kg. Its height makes it best for open walls: a gate pillar, a facade next to a garage door, a courtyard wall. Fix the backplate so that the lantern sits slightly above eye level, at around 1.80 m.
