York black half-lantern outdoor wall light, flush to the wall, 28 cm

Cast aluminium half-lantern

The flat back screws to the wall and the front follows the shape of the York lanterns: an overhanging three-sided roof, a small pointed finial and hammered glass panes with rounded tops. The whole structure is black lacquered cast aluminium, which the manufacturer guarantees for 5 years against corrosion.

Light and positioning

One E27 lampholder, 60 W maximum, bulb not included; the light can be dimmed if the bulb is designed for it. A warm white E27 LED gives a soft glow through the glass. The IP23 rating only protects against rain falling at an angle: place this wall light under an overhanging roof, a canopy or in a covered passageway, not on an exposed gable.

A 14 cm projection

At 21 cm wide and 14 cm deep, it remains compact where people walk past. It weighs 1.28 kg. Fitted at about 1.70 m from the ground beside a door, it lights the handle and the threshold. Class I: an earth wire must be provided.
