Flared cage, four-sided pitched roof

The sides of the lantern widen slightly towards the top, up to the four-sided pitched roof crowned with a finial. Each pane is divided into four by black glazing bars and fitted with rippled glass that softens the view of the bulb. Beneath the cage, a cast bracket connects it to a cut-out wall plate; a pointed rod extends the bottom of the lantern.

E27 bulb and installation under an overhang

An E27 lampholder, up to 60 W, bulb not included; a dimmer can control a dimmable bulb. A 2700 K filament LED gives a look close to that of an old lantern. The IP43 rating protects it from vertical and angled rain; ideally install it where an overhang or porch limits water running down the facade. Class I, earth connection required.

Proportions and mounting height

44 cm high, 21.5 cm wide, 25 cm projection and 2.3 kg: a medium size, quite visible on the front of a house. For a front door, line up the top of the lantern roughly with the top of the door frame, with one wall light on each side.
