A miniature upside-down lantern

Made of black die-cast aluminium, it hangs from the top of its four-sided roof, beneath a straight arm fixed to a hexagonal backplate. Four clear glass panes form the cage, and a turned finial finishes the base. 10-year anti-corrosion guarantee according to the manufacturer.

E27 and IP44

It takes a single E27 bulb, 60 W maximum, to be purchased separately. Its IP44 protection allows it to withstand the weather on an unsheltered façade. For a service door, a low-power warm white LED is enough. The supplier states that it can be used with a dimmer; in that case, choose a bulb that is compatible.

Mounting height

With a projection of 24 cm and a weight of 1.84 kg, it is easy to fix to a masonry wall or reinforced cladding. As the lantern hangs below the arm, mount the backplate at about 1.90 m above the ground to keep the passage clear. Earth connection required, Class I.
