Patinated solid brass and clear glass panes
The body is made of solid brass, patinated in an antique brass shade and then waxed to last outdoors. The stacked domed roof, the finial on top and the rounded base ending in a small drop create a traditional façade lantern. The clear glass panes show off the bulb: a visible filament lamp stays true to the spirit of the model.
An E27 bulb with IP44 protection
The lampholder takes an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, to be purchased separately. The IP44 rating protects the lantern from rain: it can be fixed to the façade, beside the door or under a canopy. For a soft light at the entrance, choose a 2700 K filament LED; if it is a dimmable bulb, it can also be controlled with a dimmer, which the lantern accepts. Class I: an earth connection is mandatory.
Fitted on either side of the door
With a projection of 13 cm, it remains discreet in a narrow passageway. Its weight of 3.19 kg calls for wall plugs suited to your wall. Allow about 1.80 m from the floor to the centre of the lantern, or fit two, one on each side of the entrance.
