Chrome-plated brass in the style of a London lantern

Handmade in solid brass according to the manufacturer, with 304 stainless steel elements, then chrome-plated and polished, this half-lantern reproduces an early 1900s Georgian design. The flat back sits against the wall; the front and sides are glazed, the cornice is cut into fine bars and small round feet lift the base.

Lighting a narrow doorway

Its candle lampholder accepts an E14 bulb of up to 40 W, which is not included; a dimmable version allows the use of a dimmer. The clear glass and chrome multiply the reflections: a flame-style LED is enough to mark the entrance. IP44 rating, so it can be installed on an exterior wall exposed to showers.

Fitting on a pier or a pillar

With a projection of 11 cm, it does not obstruct passage. Its 2.48 kg is easily fixed to a sound wall. Allow about 1.75 m from the ground to the centre of the lantern, or align it with the top of the door. Provide an earthed connection, as the fitting is Class I.
