About this light

A brass outdoor lantern wall light, designed after English lanterns from before the Georgian era. Faceted roof, small pierced chimney, ring at the top and glass divided into small panes: it gives a front door the look of an old town house. 46.5 cm high, it takes an E27 bulb.

Description

Patinated brass and glazing bars

The lantern is made of solid brass, hand-crafted after the British retailer, then patinated and waxed to withstand the outdoors better. Its antique brass finish gives a muted, burnished gold, far from polished brass. The glazed sides are divided into small panes by fine bars; above sit a pyramidal roof, a pierced chimney and a decorative ring.

E27 bulb and exposed façade

A single E27 lampholder, up to 60 W. The bulb is not included; the lantern can be connected to a dimmer if the chosen bulb is dimmable. A warm white LED with a visible filament shows off the small-paned glazing. The IP44 rating allows it to be hung on a wall exposed to rain, beside a door or under a porch.

Dimensions and fixing

At 21 cm wide and 12 cm deep, it stays close to the façade. Its 3.15 kg requires strong wall plugs in the masonry, and an earth wire at the connection (Class I). Near a front door, align the top of the lantern with the lintel or slightly above it.
