About this light

Kinsale outdoor wall light: a black hexagonal lantern hanging from a bracket, with a straight arm extending from a wall plate. It hangs down the front of the house and lights the doorstep, the letterbox or the entrance steps. The polymer does not rust, even near the sea, and the panes are made of polycarbonate. It projects 27 cm from the wall and takes an E27 bulb.

Description

Lantern hanging from a bracket arm

A vertical wall plate holds a straight arm reinforced by a scroll; the lantern hangs from its end, cap at the top, finial pointing down. Its six-sided body is made of black polymer and its panes of clear polycarbonate. The manufacturer describes an anti-corrosion, impact-resistant design, with a 20-year guarantee against corrosion.

E27 lampholder, rain and Class II

Maximum power of 60 W on the E27 lampholder; no bulb is supplied with the wall light, whose light can be adjusted with a dimmer if the lamp is dimmable. Rated IP44, it withstands rain and water splashes on an exposed façade. Double insulation (Class II) means no earth connection is required.

Projection and mounting height

46 cm high and 23 cm wide, it weighs only 1.17 kg. Check that a shutter or an open door will not knock against the lantern. Fit the wall plate at about 1.80 to 2 m above the ground so that the bottom of the lantern stays above head height.
