Green patina on solid brass

The body is solid brass; the British retailer describes it as hand-finished, patinated in verdigris and then waxed to better withstand the passing of time. In the photo, the sea-green shade varies slightly from one area to another, like natural oxidation. The shape remains that of the range: a rounded, pierced roof, a frieze of teardrop cut-outs and three panes of glass.

An E27 lampholder, bulb to be supplied

Please allow for the bulb, which is not included: the E27 lampholder takes 60 W at most. With this cool patina, a 2700 K LED warms the whole and brings out the green of the metal. It can be used with a dimmer, with an LED designed for dimming. Thanks to its IP44 rating, the lantern stands up to rain, on an exposed wall as well as under a porch.

Compact dimensions

The lantern measures 37.5 cm high and 22 cm wide, and projects 12 cm. Its 2.7 kg can be fixed to masonry without difficulty. On a gate pillar, centre it and leave enough space under the pillar cap to open the top and change the bulb.
